I have been super pumped for the season to start. Pens open tomorrow night at home.

The East is going to be crazy this year. Seems like the power is shifting from the west to the east.

Word. Are you also kinda hoping that Toskala gets injured and The Monster becomes the #1 goalie with Joey MacDonald as his back-up? I'm exaggerating a bit I guess. Can't wait to see more of The Monster as the season goes on, and I'm pretty sure it won't be long before he overtakes Toskala for the #1 spot.

Pretty disappointed Tyler Bozak isn't up because of cap reasons. Kinda doubt he'll be stuck in the AHL for long though.

Gustavsson has looked pretty damn good so far. We'll see what happens. MacDonald was put on waivers, I don't know if anyone picked him up or not.

I'm assuming the Pogge experiment is done, which I thank God for. The kid sucked balls. What I'm really looking forward to is the Rosehill/Orr line. Should be plenty of fights!

I have been reading up on all the preseson shit and watching stuff on TSN and everyone is picking the Flyers to win the cup this year. Do they really think that Ray Emery can win a cup for them. I understand they have a good team, but Ray Emery is fucking terrible.

You get TSN?
Just curious as to what you watched, was it the fantasy draft they did and Randy Jones picked Emery high and talked that they could win the cup? Cause if so, it's because Randy Jones is a former flyer and is also a color commentator for them. He's delusional.

As a Sens fan, I can tell you that Ray Emery isn't exactly a "terrible" goalie...but we all know that goaltending is vital to playoff hockey. Ray Emery is not the guy you would want on your team leading you to the cup.

I don't get the station, but I watch all the video on their website TSN.ca. It wasn't just Randy Jones, it was Pierre McGuire, Ray Ferraro, and Bob Mckenzie.

The Hockey News picked them also to win everything. And a few other publications too. I don't get it.

Yeah, the Pogge experiment is done. He got picked up by the Ducks in the offseason.

Don't think anyone picked up MacDonald once he was put on waivers.

No doubt... Orr/Rosehill should be dope. Also looking forward to Exelby checking the fuck outta everyone.

Pretty stoked. I dont think the Wings can get to the finals a 3rd year in a row. Its just too tough. Making it back for a second straight year was amazing as well. Wings will win the central again. I can see the Ducks or the Sharks finally breaking through this year. The addition of Heatley can be a move that puts them over the top like Shanahan was in 96 when the Wings traded for him.

Read at the bottom of sportsnet that Oct 1 is now known as Joe Sakic day in the state of Colorado. (Is that spelled right??)
Sundin has also officially retired.
One of the best Leafs to ever lace 'em up.

The east is going to be great this year. Pittsburgh has a real legitimate chance to repeat for the Cup. Washington is dope and should make a challenge. I think the Flyers winning the cup is overrated. They just don't have it in my opinion.
I'm a Flames fan so I would love to see them rep the West in the finals but seeing the Blackhawks do it would be dope as well.

Off season went by like "whoa". Then again it always does.

Gloss, I'll see your team Saturday ...

EDIT: I'm starting a petition to get an-also to keep that signature all season.

Flames be runnin shit in the west this year. Vancouver got a couple goals to make it close and the Flames were relying a bit too heavy on Kiprusoff in the 3rd period but they still pulled it out.
Phaneuf laying out Sedin was the best part of the night.

Tough loss last night. Atleast we put the Habs best defenseman out 4 months with a sliced tendon.
2 great fights in the game as well, Rosehill can go right to left as good as anyone I have ever seen.

By the way, for those than don't know, there's a Red Wings/Blues game on right now. It's being played in Sweden, I think.
