saw this live and we all knew it was gonna be real bad when we saw his helmet come off in the crash.

as he was sliding off the bike, it looked like edwards ran into his body and rossi into his head.

rossi must be devastated even though he wasn't at fault at all and had absolutely nowhere to go.

yeah they announced it during the broadcast. the race was red flagged immediately after the crash.

all the riders knew straight away it was going to be bad when they got back to the pits.

even the commentators were pretty speechless and were waiting on news like the rest of us.

Glad I wasn't watching. A week after waiting for word on Dan Wheldon, shit would have been too ill.
