More excited for opening day than I've been in a while, and I have no idea why.

Marlins stadium looks like it's pretty ill overall, but that homerun device thingy they've got in center field is a joke.

Don't get used to it, you're not going to win that thing again for a looooong time.

Supposedly that aids gumdrop was made by some famous artist that Loria is a fan of. There's a pretty good article on the new stadium in the last ESPN mag. The rest of the stadium is pretty fucking ill.

Nervous as hell for this season because of our offense.
Who's going to opening day? Going to the home opener monday fo sho.

For any of you not aware of the rapper Serengeti, here's a writeup on his video for his new song "Don't Blame Steve"- http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/mlb-big-l ... 43182.html

Geti raps as alter ego Kenny Dennis as a fan who was seated next to Steve Bartman on the infamous night. The best part is when he name drops several Cubs who we should blame instead of Steve. (Candy Maldonado, Mickey Morandini, Mark Grudzielanek etc.) The video's included in the link, I already posted it in M2C, but I thought a lot of the Bar's baseball heads would get a kick out of it.

marlins are so boring and yet you'd think they'd be the complete opposite with that new team and stadium.

Loving all the folks freaking out because there is no scoring in the first batch of games. Well rested versions of Verlander, Lester, Strasberg, Halladay and all the other aces are going today. The fuck do you expect?
