Popa's Fantasy Football Keeper League - 5th Anniversary

Post by Dwight Strawberry »

Year 5 fellas.

Let's start kicking the tires around...

Final 2011 Roster:

QB: Eli, Cutler, Moore
RB: Mathews, Lynch, Bradshaw, J. Stewart, D. Thomas
WR: Megatron, B. Marshall, Crabtree, L. Robinson
TE: J. Gresham

Tentative Keepers:

* Calvin Johnson (Cost: 1st Rd)
* Eli Manning (Cost: 2nd Rd)
* Ryan Mathews (Cost: 5th Rd) - Really thinking of keeping Beast Mode here due to his round 13 value...on the fence on this one...

Open to making some deals, so give me a shout. Got some real good value keepers here...

- Marshawn Lynch - Cost: 13th Rd
- Laurant Robinson - Cost: 16th Rd
- Greshman - Cost: 16th Rd

Deciding between

Romo 1
Stafford 5
Ray Rice 6
Antonio Brown 15
Demarco Murray 14
Dez 7

Stafford is not for trade - get at me people lookin to move picks. Also, I have the 11th pick this year so real good chance that I keep Romo. Just sayin'. When is the deadline?

League has been created.

Sign up asap guys so you can see if the draft date is palatable to your schedule. If you sign up 2 days before the keeper deadline and decide that the draft time doesn't work for you, i'm seriously going to disregard your opinions from now on.

A few questions

How many years can you keep a keeper for?

If a guy gets traded mid season and was a keeper for the team that traded him, does that transfer now to your team where you can't keep the guy becfause it is the max amount of years that guy can be considered a keeper? or is it based off how long you have had the player for?

the only rule is that you can keep 2 players from the 3 that you keeped before.

there is no limit to how long you keep the same two players.

When did this go into effect because I've kept the same three players for as long as I can remember.

it was always a rule.

i have just done a horrible job monitoring you apparently.

consider yourself lucky for the first 4 years of the league.

Hasib,

South Florida is currently in the cone of death for Tropical Storm Issac. It is expected to strengthen into a hurricane over the next 24 to 48 hours and could hit South Florida on Monday morning. In the event this storm does in fact hit us, there may be some managers without power/internet come Monday night.

So, I suggest we try and set an emergency backup date for the draft if we need to go there. Hopefully we do not have to even cross this bridge at all...

Thoughts?

Double check me and let me know if I made a mistake.

I realize Jazzmatazz has no keepers. He never contacted me unless I missed him.

I will go through this clusterfuck of a mess that Gloss created for me later.

Also, I'm cool with looking for a backup date for the draft.
