we could use some fresh blood around here...doubt he meant BEST EVER literally.

one of the things that has always annoyed me about football is the exclusive attitude of it's fans.

Jose certain is a very good manager, and gives some of the best pressers of any coach across sports. I especially enjoyed when he called Wenger, "a specialist in failure."

2 thoughts about Barca/Athletico:

Howard Webb looks even more than usual like the incredible Hulk amongst spanish players

Athletico have hit the posts 3 times, and should be up way more than 1-0 (2-1)

Wasn't even close. They shoulda won like 8-0. That first 10-15 minutes was awesome.

Liverpooooool!!!

Can't believe they actually pulled it off. Looked second best most of the second half.

Great scenes of Gerrard at the end, hopefully more to come.

Wonder where he'll end up? I'd imagine a lot of teams further down the table are waiting to pounce. Villa?

Great news Positive A!

Tottenham considering move for Moyes
http://www.espn.co.uk/football/sport/story/302347.html
Tottenham are considering replacing Tim Sherwood with recently sacked Manchester United manager David Moyes, according to the London Evening Standard.
Following a disastrous first 10 months in charge, United finally lost patience with Moyes and dismissed the Scot on Tuesday. Ryan Giggs has been backed as interim manager while the club look for a permanent successor, with recent Spurs target Louis van Gaal reported to be top of their list.

Man United need to find someone who commands respect, clearly they [players] gave a toss about Moyes so they need a madman like Fergie who is a proven winner.

Van Gaal fits the bill perfectly, but hes far too old IMO. Maybe they're willing to consider a short-term solution though.

Pep, Klopp and Blanc already said "no thanks", but Blanc might be interested anyway, not sure hes the right man.

It's looking likely that Wenger will leave at the end of the season, at this point. Both clubs will battle it out for toptargets and Spurs will take whoever is left.

Why not just get the guys Fergie fronted up and keep Giggs? Phelan et al. They seemed to do OK.

Did BR get the tactics right? There is something to be said about instilling a winning mentality, an attacking one, but 7 points were needed from 3 games not 9.

Also the difference in quality depth was very apparent, and that Sturridge was no where near match fitness.

Nobody can really be blamed for what happened. Liverpool conceded a silly goal and didn't have enough to break down Chelsea. This is what happens when you play Chelsea. Sturridge was poor but I wouldn't have expected him to make the difference.

Liverpool have to hope Everton can get something at home against City. That's probably the biggest league-game left.

Today I'm happy for Fenerbahce and Ajax. And very excited that Atletico look set for the title in Spain.

Tight at both ends of the table. I think City will hold their nerve and win the league on goal difference.

I reckon Cardiff, Norwich and Fulham are down. Need Norwich to lose against Chelsea or Arsenal and West Ham are safe. Really dire season, it has to be said. Aside from 0-3 at Tottenham.

Given their fixtures I'd say Cardiff and Norwich are finished. Fulham could survive but I think Poyet's Sunderland can get the job done with a much better GD and a game in hand.

They are so fucking shitty. Hilarious that if Wenger steps down, pardew is the longest serving manager. What world us this?
