Meanwhile, during an interview with a local station, Godgers was able to name every defensive starter for the Niners off the top of his head. Now granted, that's because he fantasizes about sleeping with each one of them, but it is impressive none the less.

Re: 2012 NFL Week 1 Thread
YAC
League high YTA was the Broncos at 7.9 and the low was the Jaguars at 5.3.
League high YAC avg was the Patriots 6.6 and the low was the Dolphins at 4.5.
So the ranges are pretty tight with the high to low range at 2.6 YTA and 2.1 YAC
All numbers according to espn.com
__________YACavg__YTAavg
Vikings______5.0_____6.4
Lions________5.4_____6.6
Packers______6.2_____7.5
Bears________5.3_____7.2
Panthers_____6.3_____6.8
Falcons______4.9_____7.0
Bengals______4.8_____6.6
Patriots______6.6_____6.5
Steelers______5.8_____6.9
Chargers_____5.7_____6.9
Bills_________5.5_____5.4
Dolphins_____4.5_____7.8
Jets_________5.3_____6.1
Denver______4.6_____7.9
Chiefs_______4.9_____6.1
Raiders______5.4_____7.7
Ravens______5.4_____6.2
Browns______4.4_____5.9
Texans______6.4_____6.4
Colts_______4.6______6.1
Jaguars_____5.2______5.3
Titans______5.8______5.9
Cowboys____5.6______6.2
Giants______5.9______7.8
Eagles______5.4______7.6
Redskins____5.1______6.6
Cardinals___5.8______7.1
49ers______5.2______6.3
Seahawks__5.1_______6.4
Rams______4.9______6.3
Saints_____5.2______6.5
Bucs______4.8______5.7
12 teams (bold) in the league had a lower YTA than their 6.4.
Viking quarterbacks were throwing the ball downfield farther than more than I realized because I was thinking there would be few that threw shorter passes.
Only 9 had a lower YAC avg and many that did had a considerably higher YTA avg. That's significant in that the top target (Harvin) averaged more YAC than YTA and they had among the fewest receptions by WRs in the league. I expected them to rate higher there.
Only the Chiefs, Browns, Rams and Bucs had a lower avg in both categories. Another 12 had a higher number in both categories. Not sure exactly how to interpret these further. I had to calculate them myself as I couldn't find them kept anywhere so I haven't been able to look at them much aside from putting them together. But at first glance it seems that maybe a part of their passing trouble was the quarterbacks throwing as though they had quality targets even though the targets were far from what anyone would call quality.

Got some Nathans wieners, sauerkraut, bbq baked beans and potato buns and some big mean dogs wearing skins jerseys. One of my best friends is a fleur de lis lover so this game holds weight.
The eating, the beer, the victory. Holy shit its football. HOLY FUCKING SHIT ITS FOOTBALL.
