Bitch ass Kobe is a game time decision tonight. With the talent that we have on the squad, we don't have to have him in the lineup at all times, especially in the opening game of the season. Can't stand dude, but he's a hockey player. Hopefully he'll do the right thing and sit this game out.

Besides, we only have to deal with Eddy Curry tonight and his band of merry men. No Dirk, no Caveman Kaman, no problem.

Celtics forward Kevin Garnett said today that he will refuse to take the court with Jason Terry for Boston's regular season opener because "Terry is a goddam traitor."
Boston signed Terry in mid-July to replace Ray Allen who left to join the Miami Heat.

"I am nothing if not consistent with my hatreds and grudges," snarled Garnett. "I already made it clear how I felt about Ray. How is Jason any different, any better? He won a championship in Dallas, and then two years later he leaves because he thinks he has a better opportunity elsewhere? Nah, f—k that. And f—k him. I can't play with a man I can't trust."

Garnett's declaration on the day of Boston's season opener leaves head coach Doc Rivers with some lineup problems.

"I guess I'll only be able to put Jason on the floor when Kevin is out of the game and vice versa," said Rivers. "At least until KG calms down. It will pass. I'm used to this sort of thing. He once told me he wouldn't step on the court because he had gotten a splinter earlier that day and didn't respect wood anymore. By the second quarter, we had tranquilized him and got him into the game."

The story you hear from the Knicks is that his [David Lee] teammates used to call him FEMA, because he's never there when you need him.

article is a comedy fail. Ray turned down twice as much money, a no trade clause, and more playing time to go to his team's biggest rival all because he was butt hurt that Doc didn't want to run more plays where Rondo dribbles for 23 seconds while Ray slowly runs around screens trying to get open. Ray will get way more open shots in Miami and the team is a good fit for him, but quotes like this are :naswtf:
"In Boston, they were telling me they were going to bring me off the bench - 'We're going to play you less minutes ' - and all I asked was, 'H ow are you going to use me because the last two years you've been using me as decoys,' " Allen said. " 'You're running all these plays for me just to pass it to somewhere else and you're not putting me into any scoring opportunities and I'm just standing over in the corner the majority of games.' "
His whole purpose in Miami is to be a decoy that opens space on the floor... even more so than he was in Boston. He is a terrible ball handler at this age, and is out of his mind if he thinks he'll get more pick and roll opportunities with the Heat.

Thought the Celtics were supposed to be defensive juggernauts? They are on pace to give up about 120 tonight.
