Re: 2013 NBA Playoffs First Round
You have a great memory.
They have always played close games and no way this doesn't go at least 6. I can't pick against Boston vs. any team in east unless they playing MIA.. And even if it gets there I will talk myself into saying Boston has a shot.

Re: 2013 NBA Playoffs First Round
Knicks are pretty beat up. I think they're gonna win but it wouldn't shock me if Boston eked it out.
Fuckin' Paul Pierce...

Re: 2013 NBA Playoffs First Round
The Hawks would have been a much easier match up than the Bulls, but whatever. Just happy to finally see another Nets playoff game. 6 years is a long time.

Re: 2013 NBA Playoffs First Round
I don't know where to post this shit, so I will do it here. Grant Jerrett is declaring for the draft.
Most of y'all are like, "Who"? Exactly.
He averaged 5.2 ppg and 3.6 rpg. Two starts in 34 games.
It never fails, but every year there are some prospects that make some horrendous decisions. This is definitely among the worst. He'll be lucky to be drafted in the 2nd round even though the potential is there. He is from the LA area and was a Mickey D's All-American last year.

Damn, peanut. You have more faith with the Lakers than I do. I'll be happy if we win one game. They're team is beat up like the Lakers are too. I just can't see Popovich and company losing to this makeshift Lake Show squad.peanut butter wrote:Heat

Re: 2013 NBA Playoffs First Round
I dunno man. I dont like the way the Spurs have been playing at all, nor do I believe in their health. Its gonna be a pretty substantial jump for Duncan to go from his 30 MPG to the 40 they will need him in the playoffs. Plus he's going to have to deal with Dwight and Pau, who are both playing the best they have all year. If Parker is healthy, this all changes, because he's going to abuse everyone. But at this point Manu is damn near a non factor. So the Spurs are down to Leonard being their second best player. And I gotta think the Lakers have the advantage with the twin towers, if that is the case.

Detroit canned Frank too. Those jobs and cities suck.
I think Dan Gilbert did irreparable harm to his franchise with how he handled the LeBron James decision. Players and agents will remember.

Re: 2013 NBA Playoffs First Round
I could see the Boston upset, Jeff Green would have to play out of his mind on both ends though.
Worried about the Pacers, they should be able to beat ATL, but they've lost 11 straight there and I think they'll drop a couple.
Clipps/Grizz is easily the best 1st round series, they know eachother very well and I expect it to go 7.
Really sucks about Gallinari, Nuggs (and the playoffs as a whole) would be a lot more interesting if he was playing.

Think players/agents really care? I mean Clippers get people and Sterling has done way worse.Big Breeze wrote:Detroit canned Frank too. Those jobs and cities suck.

Re: 2013 NBA Playoffs First Round
Sterling is the worstest (not a word, but I don't care), but the only saving grace he has is being in LA. He was lucky he was bad enough for years to get a good #1 pick that wanted to stay. The management that included Neal Olshey made some shrewd moves too.naturalborn103 wrote:Think players/agents really care? Re: 2013 NBA Playoffs First Round
i thought in the NBA playoffs the lowest ranked seed always plays the highest ranked in the next round, i.e. if the Lakers and Thunder both win, then they would play each other, rather than the Lakers playing whoever wins between the Nuggets and GSW.
im running on 2 hours sleep so i have no idea if im making sense.....

Nope. It's always been a bracket. NHL's playoff is highest seed plays lowest seed.

i.e. if Philly beat Chi, they'd play Miami if they beat the Knicks?

Kel, what's up with the at large suspect in Boston looking like Ricky Rubio? What's the news on him? Is he still in Minnesota or should I be worried for his well being?

Miami over Milwaukee
Brooklyn over Chicago
Indy over Atlanta
NY over Boston
OKC over Houston
Memphis over LAC
Denver over GS
Lakers over Spurs

Indy over NY

Denver over Lakers

Denver over OKC
Miami over Denver
Wish I could be the realest homer and say Brooklyn will make it to the conference finals with the Knicks so we could see an NBA subway series. But that would just be the dumbest prediction possible. Although Denver over OKC probably looks only marginally smarter. But whatever, I really want to see Denver succeed because it will speak volumes about how a front office should handle its future.

Hearing that Noah might miss the whole first round. The Bulls training staff needs to be fire ASAP.
