i grew up in the attitude era.

some of my favorites are
stone cold
booker T
undertaker
road dogg and billy gunn
eddy guerrero
chris benoit
goldust
the rock
razor ramon

honorable mention: Bradshaw aka JBL, this guy is really underappreciated. he was a great mid carder for a decade tagging with farooq as the accolytes and later the APA (acolyte protection agency) and then he transformed himself into a main eventer. great mic skills, great gimmick as the rich im better than everyone JBL cowboy character. If you are a fan of roberto del rio, well his schtick is an exact copy of what JBL did, only its mexacanized. And JBL did it about 10x better.

Also I would add Mick Foley as an honorable mention just for the amount of crazy injuries he has sustained over his career. His matches with the Undertaker are legendary.

Forreal. Austin was entertaining after having been a failed wrestler for two decades but let's be real here, that whole new era of wrestling BLEW once the 00's hit. Austin was a hillbilly hack wrestler with no real ability in the ring but had a great script.

FOH with the Austin hate. Dude did more while working with serious, potentially career/life ending injuries than anyone else.

If you wanna talk about overrated, let's talk Flair. Dude is solid gold on the mic, but he worked the same match for about 20 years. People bitch about Cena and his five move repetoir, but Flair was just as predictable for a long time.

My top 10 is always changing, but it's basically Bret Hart at number one and then the rest.

Yes. I didn't know, and I was just flippin channels one day and there he was talkin about how to diversify your bonds.

the gayest era of wrestling is the current "PG era" apparently its now the "social media era" which amazingly will probably be even worse than the PG era.

just did some research, the era i grew up in was the "new generation era" as well as the "attitude era" you had WCW vs. WWF, degeneration X, the Divas would basically striptease in the ring, so many superstars were in their primes, and old legends (ex. ric flair, hulk hogan) were still doin it and they weren't so old that it was laughable.
this was from 1993-2001.

Flair has had some classic matches, but a lot of his shit is predictable and his selling is over the top to the point where it makes it unbelievable. He's a lot like Michaels in that he can't help but make himself the story, rather than the match. I'd rather watch Bret or Eddie or Savage.

He's top 5 GOAT on the mic, but I don't think I can watch more than 2 of his matches in a row.

More time line then all time

-Randy Savage was a god to me as a kid. When he went face he was the first good guy wrestler I ever liked. I was at The Wrestling Classic when I was like 6 or so and was never so pissed then when Savage beat the living fuck out of JYD but was so tired from dropping like 5 flying elbows he fell out of the ring and was counted out.
-Mr Perfect
-Ravishing Ric Rude
-New Jack
-Edge and Christian
-Jericho
-Mick Foley
-Rock
-Sabu
-RVD
-Big Show mostly because he is one of the nicest cats on the plant along with Jericho in real life.

First I cant believe I left off The Million Dollar Man off my list.

On New Jack since it was your favorite New Jack is what brought me back into wrestling. As a kid I used to go to every WWF show that hit town and probably twice a month to independent shows at the local roller rink. This was until I was a bout 11 or 12. I got tickets for the Royal Rumble about 3 or 4 years after this with only the slightest clue on who anyone was anymore. Had fun of course and was looking at a wrestling magazine where they had a piece about ECW told my friend about it and he just saw it on TV a couple of days ago and said they would be in town in a couple of weeks. We went and New Jack made an impression.
