Phila Fantasy Hockey

Post by Positive A »

A grown man sport is back in the fold, homies.

That means The :phila: League is about the get shit going.

Emails are sent. If you don't want in, let me know because there's a few posters who want in this shit.

OR

We can scrap the rosters, invite more people, and start from scratch.

Peter North Stars won last season and received a stunning trophy and commemorative Halifax Mooseheads Memorial Cup t-shirt for his efforts.

There's prizes to be won, people. Prizes!

i'm alright with adding a couple teams. but expansion teams get no breaks. we keep keepers, they gotta start from the bottom.

(maybe eliminate the wildcard keeper so there are a few more good players in the mix...)

Does anyone miss PIMs?

I'm not a fan myself. I don't like wasting a roster spot for a Carcillo type, but if you guys want that stat back, I'll put it back in.

Either way is fine for me regarding PIMs. We can add a couple teams if there is interest but I would prefer to have keepers and let the expansion teams work their way up. I don't mind Jredd's idea of scrapping the wild card keeper if we need to free up more players for the expansion. I guess it really depends on how many new teams we would be adding and how many are folding as well.

Gloss and my homie muff divers are the only ones who have yet to get back in. I know for a fact that muff divers is in. Dude is more excited than anyone about this league.

pim's are only ever included in fantasy leagues so goons dont get butt-hurt about never being picked. it's not even a stat that benefits your team. you're making your team short handed.

they can stay out. definitely a waste of a roster spot. especially in a small league.

I'm playing fantasy hockey for the first time ever with my buddies. I'm playing because I really want to get into hockey and become a fan, I like the game but I don't really watch it, want to change that (I've probably said that a few times on this site). Any good fantasy hockey sites I can read up on? And is Hold My Deke a good team name or should I change that?

Won the sacko last season (bearskin kitchen)! I blame it on autodrafting the auction draft, with a poor pre ranking strategy.

So we keep same players as last season? If same number of teams as last season id suggest adding a few more roster spots, there was still loads of talent on the waivers throughout the season.

Id recommend hfboards.com

you get 6 keepers. c, lw, rw, d, g, wildcard (any position).

i think roster sizes were good. it's nice to have good players available for when guys go down.

Personally, I think the roster sizes are okay as well. I`d be open to adding a slot or two though.

I set my keepers on Yahoo. Did you need me to email them or post them here too? Also how do you change your team name?
