Pop, I like the job Carlisle has done a shit ton though. He's been 2nd to Pop for a while now IMO w/ Thibs a close 3rd.

Pop should get it every year. That's why I left him out. Carlisle has taken a decent Mav's team and made them pretty great. But I give this one to Dwayne Casey. He's finally got the Raps playing defense, and he took a team that was supposed to be ready to catch Wiggins in it's arms, and made them a playoff team. Even though it's in the East, it still counts.

Just cause he's been great for this long doesn't mean he doesn't deserve votes.

Your argument for Casey also is the argument for Hornacek except they play in the West.

For me, it's between Hornacek and Pop. Then Thibs, Carlisle, Vogel.

Even crazier that Jerry Sloan never won the award.

Also, winning the COY award can be a kiss of death. How many of them are looking for work within two years after winning?

The average NBA coach usually lasts 3 years anyway, so that doesn't mean too much.
