Cycling thread
Does anyone here ride or race bicycles? Or just enjoy the sport? I do. I guess start by posting a picture of your bicycle and list your favorite cycling discipline then let's just make this the cycling thread. Duh...
I am Mikey (Texas Raised) I am an amateur Cat 4 Track racer. I enjoy Watching Crit races and even long boring tours.
These are my bikes.
Vintage singlespeed (beer bike)
Schwinn World Sport :
Currently riding 46/16 ratio
83 or older because it has a Chicago head badge.
Formula wheels and hubs
upgraded bottom bracket don't remember what kind
origin 8 crank set
Some other random parts.
This bike is just my cruising around bike. It has a flip flop hub meaning it can be fixed gear or freewheel and a back brake.
That with riser bars makes it super easy to ride. I have over 2,000 miles in the city of Saint Louis on this bike.
Track bike:
Currnetly riding 48/15 ratio
Leader 735 frame (aluminum un tempered)
h plus son archetype wheels
phil wood hand made hubs
sram omnium crankset
Shimano carbon spd pedals
dura ace cog
bianchi carbon track fork
FSA limited stem
easton ergo road drop bars (drop bars are required for track racing usac sanctioned events)
leader carbon seat post
origin 8 saddle (cheap yet I like it so never changed it or upgraded)
I have giro shoes with easton carbon soles I forget what model but they are the shit
No brakes
The team I am on is sponsored by Cinelli, Giro, Easton, A local brewery, and others...
I also have knog lights, garminedge 500 cpu chrome bags tools all types of other bike accesories and shit. Hopefully I am not the only one interested in this sort of shit here.

Re: Cycling thread
which is why I've stuck to my $500 mountain bike I bought 4 years ago. My buddy is big into road biking. Just had 5k worth of bikes stolen out of his ladies garage. and the kicker is that her insurance is trying not to cover it.
Anyway, carry on thread.

Re: Cycling thread
That fucking sucks. I would barbecue someone in front of their children if they stole my bikes.

Re: Cycling thread
This is pretty boring But this dude just crushed the one hour Record.
Trek does not make a track bike though. They took their TT (time trial) frame and put horizontal drop outs on it custom. Maybe they will make a track bike soon?
