i never liked him as a sportscaster, infact i found him very annoying with sub-optimal sports knowledge that i considered to be basic at best. just because someone passes away shouldnt mean i have to now create this revisionist history and shine him in a better light. i absolutely refuse to do that. rip for sure, i never wish death upon anyone, and condolences to his family. but i couldnt care less that im no longer going to be seeing him on my tv. actually i might even go so far as to say im glad.

Sure, his act got played out, but don't act like back in the day stuart scott wasn't entertaining. I admit I didn't enjoy him at all in recent years, but it's still sad he died.

i never found him entertaining. like i said, rip for sure, but i dont give preferential treatment to the dead. his catchphrases were mediocre at best, and most of them were stolen.

I wasn't a big fan of his catchphrases either, as they were usually just hip hop culture derivatives. I must say tho, I always thought "as cool as the other side of the pillow" was particularly entertaining...

i dont know a single poster here who liked stu scott. in fact he was constantly hated on, and to act different now that hes dead? thats the got damned lie. look at your sentence, its giving credit to sportscentre the program, but it gives no credit to stu scott, whether you did this intentionally or subconsciously, the point remains the same, you thought he sucked, but now hes dead and you feel bad saying it. im not about the fake shit.

Look back a few pages. I admitted that he became a caricature of himself, but that doesn't diminish the impact he had as one of the greatest SC anchors ever. And I gave credit to the show (which is spelled SportsCenter, get it right), because that was his platform. But he's one of the best personalities of the best era of the best show ever. Patrick, Eisen, Olbermann, Kenny Mayne and Stu Scott changed the game forever. And that's why everyone is paying due respect.
