Age-19 (across 3 levels): 137 games, 322/411/509, 15 homers, 57 steals
Age-20 hurt
Age-21 (AA, AAA): 64 games, 289/359/492, 6 bombs, 13 triples (!), 21 steals

Regarded more for his fielding prowess. His absolute worst case scenario is, what, BJ Upton before Atlanta? That's a 3-4 Win player.

I understand that you're mostly talking out of your ass, but you really do not understand how baseball and prospects work. Not all of them are once-in-a-lifetime players like Trout. Having your first real crack at a full season in the bigs at 22 is really fucking impressive.

No, I do understand how baseball prospects work, but what you're apparently not understanding is the hype and expectations surrounding Buxton. As I mentioned before, he is universally regarded as the number 1 prospect in baseball. I never said he was a bust or is going to be a bust, I just expected to see more "flashes" from him by now, and I'm not alone in that sentiment.

That was the most stressed I've been watching a Jays game in some time. Great ball game.

Brendan Ryan looks like a pantomime villain.

Sano tho

Sano has a bright future ahead of him, and while the league will undoubtedly begin to adjust to his weaknesses as they become more evident, he seems to have all the tools to be able to handle the forthcoming changes. He's just 22 years old, and if his 170 PAs were enough to qualify, Sano's ISO would rank eighth in major league baseball. He still has a long way to go to make this comparison to Stanton stick, but Sano is on the way.

And to think: some guys threw their fantasy careers down the drain for Bryant and Buxton.

Says a lot about my loyalty towards the people I like. If he were suddenly traded to the Blue Jays, I'd cop something of theirs too.

Got this today.

He makes his Phillies Minor League debut on Tuesday. 10-5 with the Dodgers Class A affiliate before the Utley trade. Still a long way from ever seeing if that trade ever pays off.

i feel terrible for him and his family but a fucking dumbass braves fan died booing arod

According to witnesses seated in section 401 behind home plate, the fan was screaming at Alex Rodriguez, who had been sent up as a pinch hitter by the Yankees, when he suddenly lost his balance and fell approximately 50 feet to the concrete below, striking a railing on the way down.

This is absolutely heartbreaking but since I'm already going to hell I'll admit I kinda laughed that it was booing A-Rod that pushed him over the edge.

I read a lot about it this morning. One report had a quote from a woman who wanted to remain unnamed but said she was sitting in front of him. Yes, this fan somehow managed to fall out of the second deck from the second row. He went over the first row, clipped the wire holding up the net, and fell on his head. The source also said he was highly intoxicated and belligerent for much of the game... My only guess was he started falling over and tried to avoid falling directly on top of the girls in front of him and ended up jumping too far.

Very sad.
