Guess I'll get this started:

C - Blake Swihart (I don't like wasting picks on catchers but think he's a top 5 catcher from here on, glad to be able to pick him up so late)
1B - Prince Fielder
2B - Robinson Cano
SS - Brad Miller (Never a good sign when you get your starting SS with your 25th pick, but I don't think he's much worse than any other SS available and think he can put up a 15/15 season)
3B - Kyle Seager (very glad to pick up a solid 3B keeper with my first pick)
OF - Jose Bautista
OF - George Springer
OF - Adam Jones
Util - Gerardo Parra (like him in Colorado this year)
B - Jorge Soler
B - Wil Myers (Easy to forget he's still only 25, hoping he can stay healthy as he enters his prime)
B - Trea Turner (all in on this dude in both keeper leagues, think he can be my long term fantasy SS and should be up this year)
B - Jurickson Profar (I need to stop drafting the same players in every league)

SP - Michael Wacha
SP - Jeff Samardzija
SP - Shelby Miller
SP - Drew Smyly
SP - Aaron Nola
SP - Anthony DeSclafani
SP - Eduardo Rodriguez
SP - Cody Anderson
SP - Kevin Gausman
SP - Tyler Glasnow
RP - David Robertson
RP - Jake McGee

I should rename my team the #3's after my pitching staff. Bunch of middling fucks.

My team had speed and some nice spread out power but it’s a bit long in the tooth as well. I didn’t realize until after the draft how many 30+ year old dudes I had. My SP is strong enough to contend but I had to overcompensate in RP because I missed out on the closers that went ridiculously early in the draft. If Reyes isn’t out long, he will play or be traded so I took a gamble on him. I also like the ability to platoon Pedroia and Philips to maximize that 2B position.

C – Travis d’Arnaud – Pains me to take a Met, but I happen to think he is one of the better offensive catchers who can continue to build on his 2nd half campaign from last year.
1B – Miguel Cabrera (Older, still like fine wine when healthy)
2B – Dustin Pedroia (Way older, but 100% healthy and surrounded by better players, so I am hoping for a bounce back)
3B – Maikel Franco (The Dominican God)
SS – Ian Desmond (Really an OF this year but SS eligibility with his offensive in a contract year in TEXAS no less = sexy)
OF – Carlos Gomez (Can’t believe he wasn’t kept)
OF – Jacoby Ellsbury (I don’t love but I’m hoping he can at least swipe me 25 and score some runs)
OF – Hanley Ramirez (He has be be better than last year)
Util – Mark Trumbo (I’m a believer in Camden 30 dingers with ease)

BN – Brandon Philips
BN - Joc Pederson
BN – Pedro Alvarez
BN – Jose Reyes
BN – Raul Mondesi

SP – Stephen Strasburg (Could be his year…finally!)
SP – Adam Wainwright (100% healthy. Well rested and still elite)
SP – Cole Hamels (Will get me the K’s, but ERA will continue to rise in the AL)
SP – Jordan Zimmermann (A huge questionmark)
SP – Kenta Maeda (ditto)
SP – Matt Moore (I like comebacks)
SP – Ian Kennedy (All I want is K’s from him)
RP – Trevor Rosenthal (My top gun)
RP – David Hernandez
RP – Joakim Soria
RP – Darren O’Day

I got Blake Snell - Baseball America's 2015 minor league player of the year. When I saw his name, along with others like Glasnow, Turner, Arcia, Mondesi, etc, I just laughed it off, especially in light of what happened last year. Sorry for giving you a hard time, Tommy.

C: Nick Hundley
1B: Paul Goldschmidt
2B: Jason Kipnis
3B: Anthony Rendon
SS: Eugenio Sanchez
OF: Yasiel Puig
OF: Byron Buxton
OF: Yasmany Tomas
UT: Anthony Rizzo
BN: Ketel Marte
BN: Wilson Ramos

SP: Chris Sale
SP: Corey Kluber
SP: Michael Pineda
SP: Taijuan Walker
SP: Raisel Iglesias
SP: Gio Gonzalez
SP: Blake Snell
RP: Aroldis Chapman
RP: Shawn Tolleson
RP: Brad Boxberger
RP: Steve Cishek
RP: Joaquin Benoit
RP: Kevin Quackenbush
RP: Tyler Clippard

Clippard was a stupid pick - I needed another outfielder. I was already on my 5th or 6th shot of whiskey, so I had no idea that the draft was coming to an end until people started saying buh bye.

Planet Whore - 2016

Call me the league SF Giants, not because my team is gay, but because I typically compete well on even years.

C - Brian McCann (McCann is McCann. I'll take the HRs and RBIs)
1B - Freddie Freeman (If this fuck can stay healthy...)
2B - Addison Russell (See a lot of hype articles on this dude this past week. Generally means he will bust)
3B - David Wright (Give me 100 games and I'll be happy. Lawrie can handle the other 62)
SS - Starlin Castro (Yeah, we'll see what NY can do for this fuck)
OF - Ryan Braun (give me 25/20 and I'm happy)
OF - Andrew McCutchen (Cool)
OF - Michael Conforto (Cooler)
BN - Byung-ho Park (Coolest)
BN - A-Rod (Sure, why not)
BN - Brett Lawrie (Will see plenty of starts at 3B with Wright)
BN - Denard Span (Yippie! I got Denard fucking Span!)
BN - Stephen Piscotty (A lot of fags like this guy. He must have a big dick and sensitive side)
BN - JT Realmoto (Backup catcher, backdoor swinger)

I'll sum up my pitching here: Thor, deGrom, and Ross make a boonerific top 3. I like the way it rounds out with Quintana and Shields. Wheeler's a nice lil stash. Familia and Giles should have a nice save yield. Mike Leake and JJ Hover are going to leave sticky messes in each others lockers.

SP - Thor
SP - deGrom
SP - Tyson Ross
SP - Jose Quintana
SP - James Shields
SP - Mike Leake
SP - Zack Wheeler
SP - Michael Fulmer
RP - Familia
RP - Ken Giles
RP - JJ Hoover

Yeah, there it is, Planet Whore 6.0
I like em.
I love em.
I want some more of em.

C- Lucroy
1b- Chris Davis, Chris Carter
2b- DJ LeMahieu, Logan Forsythe, Cesar Hernandez
3b- Miguel Sano
SS- Corey Seager, Xander Boegarts
OF- Mike Trout, Jason Heyward, Gregory Polanco, Steven Souza

SP- Madison Bumgarner, Sonny Gray, Jimmy Nelson, Andrew Cashner, Phil Hughes, Aaron Sanchez, Jon Gray
RP- Wade Davis, K-Rod, Delin Betances, Andrew Miller, Arodys Vizcaino

I feel like every round someone took someone I wanted right before I wanted them. Fuck you if you did that to me. I still got players I liked and fit what I wanted to do.

Guys, the more I think about this, the more I'm leaning towards the way we have always played. Waivers and Free Agents are going back to how it's always been. If you run into some bad injury luck, you shouldn't be penalized for having to spend your waiver priority on a fucking Mark Ellis type stat producing faggot. If you have a quick trigger finger and grab that newly promoted closer, good for you and then go stick your fist up your asshole. -Commish

I think as we all see the potential repercussions of this new system, the old way wasn't so bad. I don't like the hawking so if we can do something to limit that because I am apart of that problem. The fact is if you lose your closer you shouldn't have to waste your pick on Eric Gagne when you're saving that shit for JP Crawford.

Listen, same exact shit happened with me a few years ago with Xander Bogaerts and EVERYONE bitched. SO, you put him back on waivers and I used mine to get him the proper way.

SO, you need to do the same. Yahoo continues to stay fucking shit up.
