The auction league is now cancelled and has been replaced by the HR Derby.

It's simple. You draft 6 sluggers. That's it. You are stuck with those players all year despite struggles, injuries. There are no trades.

You have 5 waiver transactions for the entire season and 2 DL spots so you can replace a player who is out along time or one you wish to simply drop.

You DO not have to worry about setting your line-up. The scoring is easy.

HR = 1 point

I think if we do this next year we should change the value of grand slams to 2 points.
4 points is just way too much and rewards luck.
I have one less homerun than the leader but am 10 points back in actual points. Thats just ridiculous.

the derby needs to be a snake draft. Auction league is nice for a whole team, but this format was flawed from the start

Auction format was fun for this though, that's pretty much the entire reason we had this league

i say we just have a real auction league again. its like fighting tooth and nail just to get enough on board tho.

the race for top spot is more exciting than the actual MLB.
