Craziest part of the series? Michael Martinez somehow is still on a major league roster. Like bringing a butter knife to a rocket launcher fight. Knew it was over as soon as I saw his name.

Hope Cubs fans don't become as obnoxious as Red Sox fans now.

I mean he probably won't make the team other than as a defensive sub, but it's just humorous that we were talking all this shit just a few years ago back in 2010

Really like the Phillies signing of Michael Saunders. They've done a good job with offseason veteran pickups (Buchholz, Kendrick, Benoit, Neshek). All have small upsides with mid-season trade value.

Pudge gets in on the first try, a guy who clearly was linked to roids yet Bonds can't get more support after all these years?

Yordano Ventura has been killed in a car accident in his native Dominican Republic.
Christian Moreno of ESPN first reported the awful news, and the Royals have since confirmed it. Ventura's fellow countryman, Andy Marte, was killed in a separate accident, as well, in what has been a tragic morning for baseball. Ventura was just 25 years of age. Our thoughts go out to his family and friends.
