Velasquez. Holy fuck.

Re: 2016 MLB Thread
Yeah I watched all of it and was amazed at the velocity into the 9th on 107 pitches. Minus those close games that we should have won (thanks bullpen) to Cincy, we'd have a 7-3 record right now.

Yeah I'm bummed I couldn't watch at work but I watched his last one.
Dude pitches like his ass is on fire and he wants to murder everyone. Fun as hell to watch.

THE TWINS WON A GAME. PETS HEADS ARE FALLING OFF.
On the real, tho, I don't care if that's the only game the Twins win all year if Joe keeps playing like this. My god is it nice to see him hitting again. And this is nice too: https://twitter.com/cjzero/status/721178259929567232" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Pitching is a concern for the astros... but I think it's just early season rotation jitters

BYUNG HO PARK HIT A BALL 462 FEET. HOLY SHIT.
Literally no one has ever hit a ball that far at Target Field besides Thome.
EDIT: ESPN True Distance tracker actually has it pegged as the longest HR ever hit at Target Field by two feet and the 2nd longest by any player this year (and the 1st longest was in Colorado).

Great game by Arrieta.
Bad day for the Twin Cities. They lose a musical legend, and apparently Myjah defected to Cincinnati.

Re: 2016 MLB Thread
Even considering those jaw-dropping stats, all these people saying he's in the running with Kershaw for best pitcher in baseball are idiots looking for headlines.
Re: 2016 MLB Thread
mlb.tv is a real fail. trying to buy the single team package for the dodgers but its blacked out in this market(hawaii). none of the providers even have the dodgers station, how the fuck does that work? bout to become a mariners fan.

Try a browser add-on like ZenMate that makes your IP look like you're somewhere else. Or you can try my go-to illegal sports feed network here: http://www.wiz1.net/schedule" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I mean, honestly, everyone should get to watch (and listen to) Dodgers home games this year.

Somehow somebody at SBNation decided to make me the head Twins blogger now and I'm actually getting paid (nominally) to spew absolute BS.

Smartest thing the Angels can do is trade him for a haul. Their farm system is shit too.Philaflava wrote:Richards = TJ surgery.

I'd be watching and complaining about this anyway so I'm all for someone paying me something (even if it is very small).

Re: 2016 MLB Thread
Strasburg probably got less than he would've gotten in free agency, but that shit still feels like an overpay considering his injury history and performance to date.
Hoping he needs a second Tommy John a year into his new contract.

Also, congrats Myjah, SB Nation is a great platform with some fantastic writers, good place to get some real exposure if you do it right.
That's a pretty big deal.

The downside is you have to watch all the Twins games, which has been quite painful.Tommy Bunz wrote:Also, congrats Myjah, SB Nation is a great platform with some fantastic writers, good place to get some real exposure if you do it right.

I have no clue why I keep getting my hopes up with MN teams, it just never works out. The team last year should have been awful, turned out mediocre. So you think with talent coming in, and Mauer returning to form they'd be contending but they are just awful.
