Starnes/ Leben,
I'm really bewildered as to why the UFC keeps giving Leben fights. They must be trying to run out his contract. Fighters like Leben are the reason why on lookers don't take mma seriously as a credible sport with professional athletes. If Starnes is prideful enough to stay in the pocket and trade with this chubby downhick he's going to get caught. Starnes should take him down and take advantage of Leben's questionable submission defense. Starnes by Submission, Round 2.
Alexander/ Jardine,
Keith Jardine is supposed to be an up and commer on his way to being a major factor in the LHW division but I just don't care about him. *shruggs* Pit him against some reputable competition and maybe I'll care.
Burkman/ Parisyan,
LOVE to watch Karo fight. I'm really looking forward to this bout. Knee-jerk reaction, Karo is going to kill this kid, but the way they've built this up as Burkman being a hard-to-handle scrapper who trains with the likes of Joe "Big Daddy" Stevens, this could turn out to be an interesting fight. I look for Parisyan to throw this kid on his head several times and implement a foul ground and pound. He'll outwork Burkamn to obtain a unanimous decision after 3 rounds.
Martin/ Salaverry,
Not familiar with Terry Martin but Ivan Salaverry is a crafty vet who is always fun to watch. Salaverry by Submission Round 1.
Liddell/ Jackson II,
I have Liddell by TKO, Round 3.
I'll be back to work out the rationale for this later.

Oh he won't knock him out, Jackon's chin is too strong for that. He'll land a good counter-punch that will hurt Jackson and commence to land 4 or 5 more unanswered blows that will force a referee stoppage.
What amuses me about this fight is that I don't even think Quinton is that great of a mixed martial artist. But as a fighter, he the complete kryptonite to Chuck's superman. Critics of Chuck always bantered that his worst enemy would be a highly skilled submission artist, for Chuck was merely a striker and would get taken to school on the ground. The problem with that is these submission artists could never get close enough to get the take down (see Jeremy Horn and Babalu).
Jackson on the other hand is a powerful puncher with a chin of granite which allows him to move forward, trade with Chuck without fear of repercussions and eventually overwhelm and out hustle Liddell.
But that was Jackson of old. He doesn't have the aggressiveness and explosiveness that caught Chuck off guard in the first fight. Since being knocked out by Wanderlei he's not as cavalier in his attacks. He has a broken spirit. Furthermore, Jackson is a decent wrestler with an effective ground and pound that has been made completely moot by the NSAC's rules. He won't be able to administer his hellacacious knees from the side mount. Even if he knocks Chuck down, which is completeley plausible, I don't know if he has the tools to finish it.
They say the best kind of fights are the ones where nobody knows whats going to happen, and I think that's what makes this fight great. As I typed all that, I'm still not completely sure Jackson won't just out hustle Chuck and well....whoop his ass.

Fight Opinion Radio has a great breakdown of the fights this weekend. 5 or 6 different writers give their opinion of how Jackson/ Liddell II is gonna go down. Pretty good points being made all around.

Dan Henderson is coming over nice. But UFC still needs to get Fedor!

rampage is a monster...look for him to be the new face of the ufc for the foreseeable future...
for the record, i was 3-1 picking these fights, but due to chuck not showing up, i won exact $1.11...
yeah...sheesh....
i wonder what your recrod would be over the last 3 or 4 cards if you bet big underdogs, and whoever was the underdog in the main event...
