I just watched Countdown. Man, I don't know what to think about the Weidman hype. All the promo is heavily leaning towards upset, but on the other hand, it's Anderson fucking Silva. If Silva v Sonnen 1 wasn't a fluke and/or due to Anderson bveing injured, shit could get rele interesting.

leading up to the fight i've been picking weiman myself. But as it gets close I can see weidman reaching for a take down early and getting hit with a knee and the fight being over. I think Silva takes it.

Pretty pumped. Definitely rooting for Anderson, Weidman's skillset could give him problems but aside from just having a great style to go against The Spider, I'm not sold on him yet. The horrible(late notice but still) performance against Maia and smashing a sick, depressed and injured Munoz didn't really make me fee like "oh shit...this is the guy." He did KO Urijah Hall in his previous fights, but he's no Anderson either.

But yeah, styles make fights, and we'll see...

That said, I am hoping and praying Silva takes us into the Matrix again.

I feel bad for Weidman actually, Anderson's made it impossible to fully enjoy that victory. If Silva keeps clowning and ends up winning he maintains the mystique. Losing the way he did just clouds the win with doubt and conspiracy theories.
