Official Sports Betting Thread

after one season of real wagering under my belt (finished at +10 units last season)One unit for me = 50 rocks. Im ready to do it again. Anyway... the beginning of the season always seems to be the easiest as far as the NFL and NCAA fb goes. Last year first week I was up 16 units, thinking I was on top of the world then I got brought back down to earth the next 6 weeks (haha). We got a lot of good matchups this week, but Im really looking at this colts/saints game on thursday.

The line this week has hovered around 6, and I think the public is obviously gonna be all over the colts. Im looking to buy 1.5 and take the saints +7.5, if its available.

The rest of the week one schedule, complete with spread and totals (some site called footballlocks.com, couldnt really line this shit up right):

Date & Time Favorite Line Underdog Total

9/6 8:30 ET At Indianapolis -5.5 New Orleans 52.5

9/9 1:00 ET At Houston -3 Kansas City 38

9/9 1:00 ET Denver -3.5 At Buffalo 37

9/9 1:00 ET Pittsburgh -4.5 At Cleveland 37

9/9 1:00 ET At Jacksonville -6.5 Tennessee 37.5

9/9 1:00 ET At St. Louis -1 Carolina 42

9/9 1:00 ET Philadelphia -3 At Green Bay 43.5

9/9 1:00 ET At Minnesota -3 Atlanta 36

9/9 1:00 ET At Washington -3 Miami 35

9/9 1:00 ET New England -6.5 At NY Jets 41

9/9 4:15 ET At Seattle -6 Tampa Bay 41.5

9/9 4:15 ET At San Diego -6 Chicago 42.5

9/9 4:15 ET At Oakland -1.5 Detroit 40

9/9 8:15 ET At Dallas -6 NY Giants 44

Monday Night Football Line

9/10 7:00 ET At Cincinnati -2.5 Baltimore 40.5

9/10 10:15 ET At San Francisco -3 Arizona 45

Lets get the weekly analysis and picks poppin, also add college picks too (Im not really into that until the end of the year and bowl season). Wiper, choke where yall at?

fantasy and betting have ruined the inherent joy of watching a football game the normal way, or back when you were a shorty doo wop

my sentiments exactly. good lookin out on the anchor appreciate it. it was very necessary.

give me the colts -6 tonight. while I agree it will be a shootout, I think the colts win by a TD. should be a fun game to watch on that dome turf. I fuckin hate the colts but I gotta be logical here, colts are the play.

I took the Colts -5.5

@ Home on opening night. Wayne is going to go bonkers.

I do think Saints will put up some points. Bush should have a nice night, but I'm not 100% sold on the NO WR's and I think Colts can win by 10 points.

So far 2 outta 3 ain't bad. Lets hope Bush can put up some yards before the game is over. Wayne always comes alive in the 2nd half.

^I like the Steelers, Eagles, Lina and Oakland of those games.

My favorite pick of the week is Washington somehow only giving 3 to Miami. Then Philly.

A bit of a homer pick but I do think 6 is too much for the Giants to be getting.

And call me crazy but I kind of like Tampa getting 6 in Seattle.

Oakland's defense was nowhere near as bas as you're making them out to be.. The one guy on their team with the goofy name led the league in picks last year..

Who said anything about their defense? As a whole, the team is pathetic. They have bum players. Even if their D does well, how are they going to put up a lot of points? The Lions have Kitna throwing to Williams and Johnson plus Bell has A LOT to prove if he wants to play or even take over as #1 when KJ comes back.

Texans down to -1 apparently in some places. Can't wait, less than 12 hours to go.
