one of the best piano players of the 20th century, renowned for his amazing improvisational skills.
he died on 23 12 at the age of 82.

Nothin' but the truth. Can't say I know the exact year they were married but it was the late 40's when he was still up and coming and playing a lot of gigs on the local scene with small bands. I asked them about the set but honestly time+vodka on the wedding night dulled the details. From what they remember it was a great performance.

rip. Legend has is that Oscar became so good because when he listened to radio shows, he mistakenly thought that the often multiple piano parts that he was was hearing were played by ONE person, so he taught himself how to play everything
