Is it too much to ask for a Sun Ra flood?

Post by marinville »

I'm having a hell of a time finding any of this dude's albums other than Atlantis and Languidity. According to allmusic.com he has a shit ton of other albums, most of which are highly rated, yet soulseekers have scarcely anything. So, if there's anyone out there who can make this happen, I'll appreciate the hell out of you for a couple of minutes.

BTW: Anyone out there who likes experimental jazz and hasn't heard Languidity, should definitely check that out. Hell, I can upload it, if anyone wants.

alright, peace.

soulseek is old hat, search blogs

for example, the links below will take you to about 10 albums total, all found in a matter of about 30 seconds:

http://jazzcrisis.wordpress.com/categor ... -arkestra/

http://theheatwarps.blogspot.com/2007/06/sun-ra.html

http://wharfinger.extra.hu/?p=168

if you're looking for a specific title i would suggest putting something like this into google:

Sun Ra + "album title" + rapidshare (or mediafire or megaupload or whatever)

something like that will usually net you a link with minimal search effort

no prob, if you have trouble finding a particular album, i might be able to help

also, sun ra (the girl poster) might be a good bet to ask directly for help on this subject, as her choice of user name is not an accident

Yeah, Lanquidity is the only I know of that is mostly on 4/4 or kinda funky.
I'm gonna have to check for "Sleeping Beauty".
Thanks for the recommendation.

I did a flood in mp3x a long time ago and some uploads here as request. ho1ogramz said it, it's fine to begin with lanquidity and sleeping beauty but overall, the point is there are way to many albums and if you really dig his free stuff and use torrents, you could try http://thepiratebay.org/torrent/3561648 ... _61_Albums - it has 20 seeders that means in 24 hours - maximum - you'll have them. if you look for something in particular that you can't find, I'm here to help you.

was thinking to up this one since I love it so much

I have 70+ albums I've picked up from various places. Name an album and I'll let you know if I have it.
