That Lee Fields in the OP is from 2002

These are a lot of my favorites, some definitely won't be considered "best of 2010" material but I'll try and not list stuff already mentioned (most of this is indie rock/electronic/chillwave):

Foals - Total Life Forever
Dam-Funk - Adolescent Funk
Blue Hawaii - Blooming Summer
Anoraak - Wherever The Sun Sets
Engineers - In Praise Of More
High Places - High Places Vs Mankind
Laetitia Sadier - The Trip
School Of Seven Bells - Disconnect From Desire
Jaill - That's How We Burn
Light Pollution - Apparitions
Small Black - New Chain
The Golden Filter - Voluspa
Golden Panda - Lucky Shiner
Mux Mool - Skulltaste
Flying Lotus - Cosmogramma
Teebs - Ardour
Take - Only Mountain
Wolf Parade - Expo 86
Brian Jonestown Massacre - Who Killed Sgt Pepper
The Radio Dept - Clinging To A Scheme
Veil Veil Vanish - Change In The Neon Light
Spoon - Transference
A Sunny Day in Glasgow - Autumn Again
Maps - Turning The Mind
Sun Airway - Nocturne Of Exploded Crystal Chandelier

^ yeah i actually gave it a listen yesterday. It was kinda weird (definately not what you'd expect from neil young) but i liked the overall vibe.

Not album of the year status though, imho.

The self-titled Fang Island album is really good, especially the first half. Powerful stuff.

Also, I just got that Portugal, The Man- American Ghetto and it's rele rele dope. Got the Miami Horror too b/c of this thread, good tuneage indeed.

I think both The Juggs and The Dead Weather albums were worthy of the list.

*shrug* Dont know if it was the best per se, but The Black Keys Brothers record was probably my most played non-hip hop release this year.

I wanted that Mark Ronson record to be soooo much better.

The Foals album is really, really impressive. I love it.

The Twin Shadow album is great as well. The 80's revival thing can get old, but it's executed to perfection on this album.
