Check out Iota - Tales from 2008. Came out when alot of great shit was coming out and is just as good, but it came and went and i never understood why. very mastodon-y baroness-y but more psychy/sludgy/spacy and the dude hits that middleground between singing and yelling which just really works for me

Top mediafire link in google, the last song is broken in this link and it's epic so if you dig it try to find it: http://www.mediafire.com/?jygtjja2qjy

david davidson is making a strong run for the title of best young metal guitarist in the world with this album. dude is intense, riffing of course, but his soloing is next level on this album, cotdamn.

I really enjoy the "Black Tongue" song. But this new single, "Curl Of The Burl" sounds every bit as gay as the song title itself.

Iommi confirmed the original lineup of Sabbath are making a new record.

**UPDATE**: According to Classic Rock magazine, Tony Iommi's management has strongly denied the authenticity of this story, claiming that the guitarist hasn't spoken to Birmingham Mail for two months. ***

they need to just put it to rest, let the legacy live on and enjoy their money and success.

watching sabbath live now is like Jordan coming back to the NBA at age 50 and you spending the next ten years watching him get mercilessly dunked on. just let it go.

^fuck yeah. last year in the middle of a class i accidently hit play on my ipod without headphones plugged in so the song played on the mini-speaker, and it was a Wolvhammer song. my teacher stared at me with a blank face and said "you listen to that stuff?"

After listening to it about 10 times in a row I have to say that I fucking love this song. I really enjoy Black Tongue too but out of the three offerings so far Spectrelight dominates.

and  to Mercuthio for the Opeth link, I'm going to give that album a full listen soon.
