pitchfork's the people's list
this could be interesting. really curious how the compiled people's list will stack up to pitchfork's official critic picked lists.

^ same, they didn't have half of the shit I wanted to put in my top 10 (U.S christmas - eat the low dogs was at least top 3 for me and it's not even listed). Plus no Sleep represented at all or the stoner/doom movement in general.

added a lot of albums. hard as fuck to edit once all added, so after the top 40, really in no order.

Re: pitchfork's the people's list
I had to write in a ton too...no Operation Doomsday, Aquemini, or Wu-Tang Forever? My list was MF DOOM dominated, also had three albums from Built to Spill, two from Outkast, and a couple from MF Grimm. Lonesome Crowded West and Mutations were my only other rock albums. Really hard to do, I realized after the list was done I left off albums like Ironman, Reasonable Doubt, and Firing Squad and felt bad...probably several other albums I'm spacing that should have made my list as well.

Re: pitchfork's the people's list
couldnt even think about doing it the write in way, shit would take forever and putting any effort into it would mean feeling shitty about what you actually forgot

Yeah - that surprised me, as they do tend to jock Sleep and a lot of those kind of bands.perfectprism wrote:Plus no Sleep represented at all or the stoner/doom movement in general.
Oh well. List is nicely done, whatever I think of the rankings.
