Post by ALASKA »

I made a dope one a few years ago but lost the file. I think my boy may still have it, but I gotta ask him. I have it on a data disc somewhere, but doubtful I will find it as shit is a mess since I moved. I will talk to my boy this weekend. Pretty sure he has it, I will upload for you.

Also, I made this mix this spring. Not really new jack swing per say, but dope nonetheless. You may like it.

Love this era/genre.

blackstreet is missing in a strange way from this thread. no diggity and thats all? the self titled album is a newjack banger from front to back. 20ish songs? fucking QUALITY shit through and through. but no Blow My Mind? no Making You Wet? Before I Let You Go?

will cop those mediafires though

Bumped this album front to back a couple times earlier this evening. Just fucking great. No really...between nostalgia and just being damn good this record great.

Aaron Hall is mad underrated. Also, I clearly heard the Charlie Wilson influence on his style for the first time tonight.

Next up for revisitation: This Sweat/Riley New Jack masterpiece

Thanks for this. Pretty good song selection but you are really not good at dj'ing and mixing songs together.

 its a bit scrappy here and there but I hadnt played most of these joints in over 6-7 years and I banged the mix out in one take (no planning or editing afterwards). I'm generally pretty good though, I can assure you.

that bad huh? the 8000 listens and 305 "favourites" on my previous R&B mix suggests people are happy with my skills but if you wanna show me how its done feel free. I guess after 15 years of playing around the UK and Europe I still havent got the hang of it.
