NO, Bronson is definitely not PV.
Power Violence was a brief movement in the early to mid 90s(Man Is The Bastard, Capitalist Casualties, No Comment, Spazz, Despise You etc..). Lots of bands over the years have had a strong power violence influence and the style is really just fast hardcore (And Awesome) with some grindcore tendencies or sludge thrown in. Lots of dorks out there will split hairs about what is and is not Power Violence but truth is that its more of an aesthetic than a particular way of playing instruments. Its rooted in hardcore and crossover of the 80s. Check out the early Slap A Ham, Pessimiser or Six Weeks records releases.
I listen to a pretty wide range of bands described as hardcore some new but mostly older. Charles Bronson were definitely pioneers of "fastcore" as the kids and beard stroking locust wizards like to call it.

Also to the guy who posted Assuck. I have an Assuck shirt on right now

and whoever said it was absolutely right. Hustle Crows found a new thing he likes. No one should give a fuck. I dont think anyone does. Its just annoying when a thread that was mostly us older guys talking about old school shit get bombarded with 2 pages of Ezec videos that are pretty obvious like whoever said. I mean, what the fuck are you doing kid? you ruined the thread severely.

 I always thought of them as grindcore, don't really see the need to split hardcore into more than 2 or 3 subgenres. I just thought it was funny that a genre called 'Power Violence' even exists.

BTW, Man is the Bastard, as I've said many a time, is possibly the greatest band name ever. I used to hang out at this club called Ground Zero when I was a kid and it cracked me up every time I saw their poster on the wall.

your way late in the game to come in swinging around Phobia or Dystopia or Assuck youtubes. I pretty much been championing those bands round these parts for many thousands of times.

i try to avoid the sub genres but whatever it takes to form an association i suppose.

M.I.T.B were also genius when it came to branding and imagery. The Skull they used is iconic in the underground and their logo was often ripped off/tributed by lesser bands.

as far as I know agnostic front has been on some hatebreed brocore shit for years. Really derivative boring metalcore drivel.

I totally see why you dig them.

If you want shit like this Spanish/Latino, there was a numetal band in the 90s called Puya that did it a lot better.

they were actually pretty dope as I remember.

I like old sounding AF & new sounding AF, it's called evolution and its still hard as fuck. I believe that " bro core" bullshit was made up by elitist nerds who only want to hear one type of sound and probably play the back at shows.

Dude, if you like hardcore, metal, mall punk, brocore or whatever the fuck, it's all good. Enjoy it.

But don't try and come off like some kind of hardcore OG when there are folks here who have been going to shows and playing in bands for more than 20 years when just a few years ago you were starting threads like these-

You participate in a scene where folks have to earn their stripes and experience and credibility are valued, I'm sure you understand.

Stigma is a funny guy, Victim in Pain is fucking awesome. Don't really care for the new shit, but they still rock that shit live for dudes pushin 50, and I do believe Mr Stigma is a bit older than that.
