how the gods chill is such a good reference pun. will check out the album when it drops. every once in awhile, when im drunk, i like to bust out some hardstyle mosh and cold world will be a likely choice.

oh man saw Bad Brains last night

I'm no huge fan, but I've listened to a lot of the early stuff, and always enjoy those old CBGBs clips.

saw Suicidal last night as well and they fucking slayed. Fuck reunions and original members when you can get nasty ass fat black dudes to play drums and bass. They fucking sounded amazing. lots of drunk fist fights in the crowd as well.

I've seen them a few times. Those guys are still fucking technicians with their instruments. Great band live.

H.R. Makes Ozzy look 30 years younger. I'm even really sure that the dude is completely sure that's he was on the stage at the time. He wore a scarf over his head the entire time and looked like he would die if he made any sudden movements.

Do people enjoy the reggae aspect of BB? really?

I though the whole appeal of BB was the punk rock attitude and energy.

no point in going to see BB at this point and I agree that the reggae they put out was terrible. Im not sure I could handle being around all the Hustle Crows that were introduced to BB via Ill Bill and such.

Suicidal is a completely different story. Ive seen them numerous times and every time, even with age, the performances were inspired. I saw them with Body Count one time in Orlando florida and they played an hour and a half with Cyco Mike spinning around like a champion boxer the entire set. Cyco Mike is hands down one of the greatest frontmen of all time.

I've never seen ST, despite being a huge fan since i was 12.

In fact, I'm not even aware of them ever having played a headlining show in NY. I'm sure it's happened, but for some reason I never knew about it. I guess that would mean it's pretty rare, unless I've just been really unlucky/oblivious.

As for Bad Brains, I saw them a bunch of times back in the golden era and they were incredible. Saw them in LA maybe four years ago and I thought they were stronger than I'd expect sonically, but the performance was really sedate, especially HR.
