i agree about the no new album. that would have been a terrible idea.DLG wrote:glad they are not doing an album or continuing with the nostalgia show.
who wanted to see it, saw it, they had a good time, we had a good time, they should all go back to doing what they do now.
see, i kinda had bittersweet feelings about the FNM reunion, which is why i never went to NY for the show(s). i could have. but im bitter about jim martin not being there. plus, i already saw them the first time. i kinda like my memories as-is.

Someone please school me on Faith No More. I have all these albums:
I don't own this one, but I have heard it, and am trying to pick it up now:
And I have the Live At Brixton Academy recording.
So, can someone give me a list (dl link?) of all the B-Sides and whatnot. I just want all the cool stuff that was only on cd singles, soundtracks, or whatever.
I don't Care A Lot about the stuff with the other singer, just the Patton songs.

trying to get EVERYTHING patton has ever done will consume your life. i should know. there's just a LOT.
i'll try to throw together a mix of some of the coolest stuff (there's some great tracks on angel dust, for example, that was released only on overseas versions), collabos, stuff on movie soundtracks, etc.

I was mostly looking for Faith No More stuff I haven't heard. I have a lot of the side projects or whatever you want to call them, already, but any recommendations or uploads of those are welcome too. I have at least heard the main albums from Tomahawk, Fantomas, Mr. Bungle, Peeping Tom, the Kaada album, Lovage, General Patton & The X-Ecutioners, and that EP with Dillinger Escape Plan.malpractice wrote:trying to get EVERYTHING patton has ever done will consume your life. i should know. there's just a LOT.

new tomahawk record "soon" sez ipecac records.
soon in mike patton time could be 5 years from now, but im still excited!
i check for the weird side projects that he does, but i get most amped about fnm/fantomas/bungle/tomahawk stuff. and it's unlikely we'll ever get new material from 2 of those.
also..
Somehow, somewhere, Patton has time to read books. He was inspired after reading the Paolo Giordano novel, "The Solitude of Prime Numbers". He was asked to contribute music to the film version of the Italian literary sensation. This release includes music for the film as well as music inspired by the novel. This collection boasts a cinematic feel that allows instruments an individual voice, emphasizes isolated notes and subtly transitions from piece to piece, acutely capturing the introspective and reflective feel of the novel. The album's intricate packaging further conveys this dramatic and minimalistic approach, with a multi-panel digipak featuring a leaf cut out, embossed with a locking mechanism. Reason alone to seek out the physical Cd!
packaging sounds cool. i still buy cds, so it's a bonus for me. still have my limited edition "suspended animation" cd/calendar.

Re: malpractice's mike patton thread
pretty excited about hearing some new material. i got to see them before they broke up, and it'd be cool to see them play again outside of a "reunion" show.
