New Chromeo Video/Single

Post by Masked Terror #1 »

Video is so so. Potentially funny concept, but not so well executed.

Digging the single though. Psyched for a new album/tour from these guys.

love these dudes.

the girl-selection scene is kind of funny in the context of the singer being a french professor at a university.

I'm imagining MT mask-clad in a slayer shirt dancing to this in a club full of sweaty hipsters.

Chromeo is dope.

Discovered these guys when someone on here posted a link to that stuff they did with Daryl Hall, who I am also a fan of.

Here are their first two albums. They're dope.

She's in Control- http://www.megaupload.com/?d=7U6TXR42

Fancy Footwork- http://www.megaupload.com/?d=binrgghg

This is the thing they did with Darryl Hall- http://www.livefromdarylshouse.com/index.php?page=ep10

Whole episode is dope, especially their collabo on Family Man.

lame.

chromeo = tongue-in-cheek hipster copy of some music i really really love.
i would forgive them if their songs were better, but beyond all the right/cool signifiers and the great production there's not much that leaves an impression.

Aside from a couple songs and that Darryl Hall thing, I'm not really a fan.

I like the new hot chip album though.

Hmm not sure if it's leaked yet. The one I have is watermarked so I can't send it out. Yes, I'm aware of how pussy that is.
