I just had a conversation about this group yesterday. When it was first described to me as a "boy/girl electro pop rock thing from Brooklyn" I thought someone was trying to put me on Matt and Kim.
Then they played me this:

I liked it, it's a bit harder nh than most. Been in the rotation for a month or so

Love Sleigh Bells. That song wheels posted got reworked and became "Kids" which bangs hard (nh).

it's basically that, her good looks matched with rebel attitude, and the cool back story (in a "ooooh wow, that's so different!" sort of way)Cowy wrote:thread derail: MIA reminds me of a black lady gaga.
If it wasn't for the Diplo production would anyone give a fuck about MIA?
When people think of Providence, Rhode Island they typically think of organized crime

I think MIA got them a deal, or they're on her new label, or something. which makes sense.
Other than Diplo tracks, I find MIA unlistenable. I like Santigold, though.
And this Sleigh Bells has some dope tracks. I listened to it for a few days a month or so ago.
Thanks to the internets and constant downloading/album checking in general, I've quit listening to this album.
