dj and producer diplo is one of my favorite people in music. he's a big time trendsetter and has been involved with a lot of awesome music as of late. this is a thread for him and his label.

don't really know shit about diplo or his label, but was henny deep in the hoopla atthe major lazer set at the pitchfork fest a week or two ago and found it all to be pretty incredible. cheers on the thread, been meaning to check some more of his shit out ever since

thread is very relevant to my interests . I seen Diplo live about two-three weeks back and he slayed shit from what I can remember. If you check the mixes I posted in a Rubin thread earlier this week, I pack a lot of this kinda shit in um.

some of the stuff he associates himself with is good & some of it is completely cornball.

definitely one of the first/most visible of the new breed of club dj that blew up the past 5 years or so

that new Rusko album off Mad Decent is pretty terrible. recycle bin status. It's disappointing cuz a year ago he was killing shit.

Their NYC block party was pretty dissapointing. The 12-15 complimentary beers made things better, but no Diplo, Kid Sister, Rusko, Freddie Gibbs, Das Racist, etc. Their recognizable lineup was a no show.

DJ Sega is pretty good though, and some random business casual looking white guy killed too. Not sure who he was. Plus I made out with that model chick from the Cool Story bro thread so really my life had an upswing.

Ive seen Major Lazer twice this year and Diplo once, an amazing live show. Shits ok on recording, but so dope live.

Also, the hypeman, Skerrit Bwoy, is so fucking dope. The one day I saw Major Lazer at 8:30pm and Diplo at 1:00am and dude drank a bottle of Hennesy during each show
