not as heavy on the fuzz as most others in this thread but still mostly in the psych/blues realm. they got some interesting arrangements, reminds me of the 70s brit blues phase where they started experementing with throwing random elements like pianos into the mix

If you travel to the desolate, windswept regions of northern Borkanistan you may suddenly find yourself in a crappy little country known amongst the indigenous retards as Denmark. Or rather, since this is such an anonymous little shithole, you most likely won't realize you've been here, until someone informs you, that you passed through it 6 hours ago. Anyway, Causa Sui is from Denmark and so am I. But alas, the similarities between us end here, since I am known for booting a rather insignificant expanse of behind, and this band, in my humbly biased opinion, kicks a serious amount of ass(es).

Bill Steer, the guitarist from Carcass and Napalm Death, formed Firebird in 99. A 70's inspired type blues rock band. They just dropped a new record, Double Diamond, but i think it's a little boring.

i like No. 3 and Grand Union though.

In absolute terms, this is all about riffs. Huge, brilliantly executed, stonking riffs. It's Riff City. Riffadelphia. Riffolutionary. Riff 'n Chips. If this collection of riffs were a soup, it would be a broth ג thick, heavy, murky, beefy and with bones swimming in its depths. It's somewhere between the tightened grooves of early Clutch and the satisfactory crunch of modern Testament, yet it DOES all fit around that stoner-metal template and even finds time to meander through passages of experimentation and even, to a lesser extent, classic prog rock. In drawing on similar past experiences, a mob like Saviours would be another good comparison ג good-solid song-writing, with the drums slightly off the beat, and a gallop to the rhythms which rarely lets up.
