Electric Wizard are pretty tight live aren't they?

yeah, actually tight is a good word because they were more understandable and coherent than I expected. I thought it would be white noise a lot of the time, but everything is very clear and controlled but still load and heavy as fuck. and the singer also sounds very good.

MF DOOM, Company Flow, Portishead. Dope. DOOM was slightly less shambolic than usual, and dedicated his set to Amy Winehouse.

Just saw Boss and Weezy. First time seeing both.

Ross's set Pros:
-Every song he did was great.
-Brought out Ace Hood and did Hustle Hard.

Ross's set Cons:
-Way too fucking short

Weezy's set Pros:
-Energetic as fuck
-Great performer
-Brought out Birdman for Money To Blow

Weezy's set Cons:
-Didn't do anything older than The Carter 3 besides Go DJ (unless I completely missed something. I was drunk, so it's possible, but I doubt it).
-Brought out some broad to sing that was fucking unbearable
-Did Ms. Officer, How To Love, and another faggot song back to back to back.
-Performed with guitarists and rock shit which is just about the last thing I wanted. If you imagined A Milli and 6 Foot 7 Foot being completely ruined by rock music, you were right.

I only paid 20 bucks to go, so it wasnt too bad, but I was kinda disappointed. If Ross is the headliner next time he's in town or has a headliner that I enjoy more than Wayne, I'd def go.

Also:

Lil Wayne did his first verse on John and that was it. I was expecting him and Ross to do the whole thing together to end the concert or some shit. Fuck that.

I saw Swans perform last night. Loudest. Concert. Ever. And all-around mindblowing...jaw hitting the floor type show.

Sir Richard Bishop opened, which was a cool contrast.

My ex used to drag me to see them every time they'd come through seattle. which was often cuz they were from here. I would rather put a bullet in my head then see them again.

Portishead was dope, but maybe more because of the kratom and weed and alcohol and muscle relaxors.

Going to see Ozma tonight. Gonna be fucking bodacious. They deserve their own thread, but I know better than to start threads...lol. If you like old Weezer though, you would love these fools. Rock and Roll Part 3 is their best album, but other gems sprinkled throughout their other albums as well.

Here's some of their best shit:

Didn't JUST see it, but saw WU LYF and Crystal Antlers in Chicago a couple weeks ago.

It was awesome. Crystal Antlers are really good live, even with a new keyboard bro and a backup guitarist. Maybe the most intentional reverb I've ever heard and it still sounded good.

WU LYF just ripped it. Played every song they've got. Definitely one of the better bands I've caught in many moons.
