Haha! I remember spending my first pay check from Halfords going to Lakeside to buy the Cappuccino Reebok Classics, a YSL polo shirt (Ralph was twice the price) and some straight leg CK jeans. That night we went to an AWOL do and my mate passed a joint to MC GQ and was gassed for the rest of the weekend.LONDON wrote:man dem was copping first 618 levis straights, reebok classics, then man started too get more flashy wit it, versace's, armani's, d & g, ck, ysl, stone island, paul smith, polo shirts & jackets, gucci loafers, versace glases, we were busing them before b.i.g had them on in his videos, it was mad times, a mad ting
The one in Hoxton I think was Blue Note and pretty sure the one on Holloway Road was The Rocket? Could be wrong. There was also Labyrinth in Dalston and Lazerdrome in Peckham. I didn't go to too many jungle things in London but they were always good but pretty intimidating if you were young, white and from out of town. I remember seeing a bouncer get beaten unconscious but 2 blokes and a girl at a club in Kent - involved smashing his head off a handrail.
