This year for me was way more single/ep-centric than prior years. Top 6 or so were enjoyed albums, below that are just a rough listing of albums that had a lot of songs I didn't delete.

Top 20

1. Trust - TRST
2. Tame Impala - Lonerism
3. Digitalism - DJ-Kicks
4. Roc Marciano - Reloaded
5. Geographer - Myth
6. Hot Chip - In Our Heads
7. Beach House - Bloom
8. Matthew Dear - Beams
9. Pond - Beard, Wives, Denim
10. Teeel - University Heights
11. The xx - Coexist
12. 100s - Ice Cold Perm
13. How To Dress Well - Total Loss
14. Father John Misty - Fear Fun
15. Kendrick Lamar - good kid, m.A.A.d city
16. The Invisible - Rispah
17. Action Bronson - Rare Chandeliers
18. Yppah - Eighty One
19. Grimes - Visions
20. Lil Ugly Mane - Mista Thug Isolation

(just an idea for this thread, maybe quote the albums off others' lists that you haven't heard? Then if you're up to it that person can compile a grouping of songs from them & share? Or youtubes'd probably work... plus we're gonna have a 2012 compilation thread... I don't know, I think it'd be interesting seeing what most everyone has listened to & mostly not yet)

Haven't heard these, only know of #13:

Disappointing (from what I was anticipating):

1. Crystal Castles - III
2. Vitalic - Rave Age - Was probably the most surprised with this one, there are a gang of vocals on here that ruin their respective songs
3. Twin Shadow - Confess
Miike Snow - Happy To You
Grizzly Bear - Shields
Yeasayer - Fragrant World
Bloc Party - Four
Nas - Life Is Good - not sure why I gave this a try (skipped Distant Relatives) but it was a quick delete
JJ Doom - Key to the Kuffs
Flying Lotus - Until the Quiet Comes
Band of Skulls - Sweet Sour

& to a degree Matthew Dear & The xx were letdowns from what I was hoping for... a lot of my favorite artists shit the bed in 2012

Grimes is probably my favorite of the year. Kind of obsessed with her. When she hits those really high but really soft notes I just get overwhelmed with urges to dids something immediately.
Been an awesome year for female singers in general:
Lana Del Rey - Born to Die
Dirty Ghosts - Metal Moon
Sleigh Bells - Reign of Terror
Purity Ring - Shrines
Crystal Castles - III
Iggy Azalea - Trap Gold (technically a rap album i guess?)

Lee Fields - Faithful Man
Black Keys - El Camino
Divine Fits - A Thing Called Divine Fits
Allah-las
Tame Impala - Lonerism
The XX - Coexist
Deftones - Koi No Yokan
Frank Ocean - Channel Orange
Gary Clark Jr - Blak and Blu
A Place to Bury Strangers - Worship
Placebo - B3EP

Sure I'm forgetting some and there's a bunch of stuff I still need to listen to. Agree that the Miike Snow album was a big disappointment.
