took me a few listens but now i think this new lp is on par with futuresex lovesounds.

i dont like suit and tie, but i love pusher love girl, dont hold the wall, tunnel vision, let the groove in and mirrors. its great to hear timbaland and his wicka-wicka-wicka back in pop music. thoughts?

He's too professional to make a bad album. It's kind of sleepy and dated tho. Blue Ocean Floor is the only song that sounds fresh...I hear strong hints of frank ocean in it. I think working with Timbaland in 2013 was a colossal error in judgement.

So apparently this is a two part album with the next part coming out in Nov. (10 more songs, together, the 20/20 experience).

Questlove mentioned it on OKP (based on convos w/ time and hearing all 20 songs), someone on OKP reported to the blogs, Questlove had a tantrum about how fucking wack that is (don't know what he was expecting), and says he's not gonna post on OKP any more.

Never posted there, but clicked through the link to read that thread this morning.

Blue Ocean Floor has the same formless singing style that Frank uses on songs like White and Wiseman. That's the only song I meant.

I played it a couple times today and enjoyed it. Some really corny moments too tho. Let The Groove is the only joint that gets skipped. Blue Ocean and Spaceship Coupe win.

Good description. That said, I felt the same way about Channel Orange on the first few listens too (nothing as immediately likable as Novocaine or Swim Good, etc., but on repeated listens reveals itself as a much superior album).

the video for tunnel vision has a lot of nudity yet is somehow very boring, not one of his best. however after several repeated listens i feel this is his strongest album yet. excellent music

album of the year. definitely his strongest album front to back by far by far by far. finally a cohesive sound. great sound. great great sound. no bad tracks in my opinion.

i love this album. instantly fell in love. there is so much good shit going on in here and yet its hard to notice because of how seamless everything is.
