This is not a djjefffresh thread

Post by Career Over Like Mike(NJJ) »

This is the place where we post weird and wonderful songs from the late 50s/early 60s as a stand against gay ass EDM threads littering up Rick Rubin.

Gene Vincent & The Blue Caps - Cat Man

Gene's ode to Betty Page, making it the only good thing to come out of burlesque.

The Phantom - Love Me

The best Elvis song that's not actually by Elvis.

Hasil Adkins - Chicken Walk

Taking sides : Chicken Walk by Hasil Adkins or Chickenhead by Project Pat et al?

Andre Williams - Bacon Fat

A lil' somethin' for those of you partial to swine. Also check out Jail Bait by Andre, which is basically Jaz's life in song form.

Ron Thompson - Switchblade

Token instrumental Rockabilly song about knife fights.

2 songs famously covered by The Cramps during their 1977 - 1982 apex.

Hasil Adkins - She Said

Hasil's masterpiece. Possibly the first song to feature a man replicating the sound of a girl orgasming.

The Novas - The Crusher

Dedicated to the 50s wrestler Reginald "The Crusher" Lisowski. Kinda unsettling because the singer kinda sounds like he's saying "RRRAAAAAAAAAPPPPPPPPEEEE" when he's doing his impersonation of Lisowski's trademark growl. Proto-death metal, imho :gyeah: :gyeah:

yeah, that singular electronic music thread on the first page is so overbearing from the remainder of Rick Rubin.
