i checked ebay for copies, and they were cheap. so i checked the details on that exact 12" at discogs
"Gatefold sleeve has a 'pop-up book' style inside design... when you open it a brontosaurus head pops up."

it's probably so expensive because the brontosaurus never even existed.

many are just fantasy prices that probably no one will ever pay.

popsike.com is a better indicator imo but eve there it could have been troll bids or the highest bidder copped out.

That version of the 12" is worth £3-£5. The same guy has a 7" single listed for nearly 70,000 dollars that you can buy for £2-£3 from other sellers. I don't know what the explanation is, cos the rest of his records seem reasonably priced.
