Old songs finding a new lease of life in 2015 thanks to recent film soundtracks:
Kaleida - Think (John Wick)
Annie - Anthonio (Berlin Breakdown Version) (The Guest)

That song from John Wick is the shit.
Shaggy w/ Maxi Priest & Super Cat - Night Flight
This song goes some way in making up for Maxi & Shaggy not recording a remix of That Girl with Super Cat back in 1995.

ahh right on time, the official video for Night. Thought Carpenter himself directed it but the youtube page says 'A video by Gavin Hignight and Ben Verhulst'. Dope as fuck though, such and amazing cocktease in the end, hope they do a series that continue whatever started here.

this song has been covered to obnoxious levels, but this version is murder
have you dudes ever considered maybe placing these videos in spoiler tags. it's a really unpleasant experience trying to access threads like these. anyways good stuff in here so far. i listen to a lot of 'non-rap' but nothing contemporary

Pretty cool videos and sound, Drizzle.
There's an English version but I like the French one better.

Not very pleased with the ECM master quality of this album but I'm seeing them in July at the Ghent Jazz Fest.
It'll be a memorable evening no doubt: Bill Laswell & The Master Musicians of Jajouka feat. Bachir Attar with Material;
Jack DeJohnette ‘Made in Chicago’ (feat. Muhal Richard Abrams, Larry Gray & Roscoe Mitchell); Kris Davis ‘Infrasound’

I haven't had a chance to play the entire album, but a few tracks via soundcloud. For a 32-piece orchestra, the compositions are pretty weak and I can't feel the 'spiritual' part in his music at all.
I guess that if this was released on Cuneiform or similar, they wouldn't be celebrating it so much.
His being signed inspired me to push my friends into trying to put the Amiri Baraka tribute album out through Ninja Tune. They have been very eclectic the last decade.
Album rules. Rare case where a reunion album is a great addition to the discography. A post Tommy made on here a couple years back about their album Fantastic Planet put me on to them.
