slash's book was great. he really holds nothing back at all. the story of him getting a massive herpes outbreak in europe is
and axl is a fucking asshole (the tour this summer was still good though).

motley crue book was good, written by the guy who wrote that pick up artist book "the game". neil strauss.

each chapter is told from the view of a different person, and it jumps around in time alot so it's a bit hard to follow but lots of good stories. those guys are savages.

little known facts i learned: vince neil is part mexican. his mom is half (last name Ortiz). and mick mars was in his 30s when he joined crue right before they blew up. he has some fucked up disease that makes even basic movement incredibly painful which is why he never really did much on stage. he also loves science shows. out of all of them he seems like the nicest and most level headed.

the 2 books intersect a bit too as they were in the same circle.

surprised to hear the anthony book is good. i'll check a sample. he just comes off as a douche to me.

anyone have any interest in picking a music book none of us have read and having a lil :p: bookclub?

Star- Objective Hate...about 10% of it has to do w/ music. he worked at a label in the early 90s & trashes artists like Kid Frost (hilarious) & he talks a bit about his favorite band Rush. but its a funny book & he's a very good writer.

J Zone's book is great. i also liked Ice T & LL's autobios

David Byrne- how music works

Miles Davis's autobiography

Kurt Cobain's journals

Ozzy Osbourne's book that came out a few years ago, surprisingly intelligent
