I had to go with Sabbath as far as influencing the shit I like. I would have picked "the rockin Queen songs" if that was a category. I cant stand the operatic crap that were always half an album with those fools. Joints like Stone Cold Crazy, Tie Your Mother Down, Fat Bottomed Girls and Dragon Attack rock.

I think the poll #s have spoken.

the only thing touching the beatles is Zep.

not even the stones are getting in on this.

Wings sucked (minus Ram and Band on the Run) but George Harisson's first solo is brilliant
damn straight, harrison went from average to a fantastic guitarist and song writer. Although you have to note that most credit for "While My Guitar Gently Weeps' goes to Clapton

It could also be argued that The Stooges are the best band of all time.

3 CDs (The Stooges, Fun House, and Raw Power). 23 tracks total. Some of the greatest rock ever.

I wouldn't say most. Harisson wrote the whole song himself. peep the original acoustic demo (which I'd upload if I had it. but I don't)

but as for the final definitive recorded version, Clapton basically murdered that mutha and made it what it is. No doubt about it.

i didnt believe it until i saw em at fenway last year.
any band that old that can still rock and put on a great show is aces in my book.
they have an entire channel dedicated to them on sirius, and its never boring. that says something, yes? yes.

They often wouldn't let Harrison write songs. It was always Lennon and McCartney that would go back and forth and because Harrison was the youngest, they didn't take him as seriously so he rarely go his stuff on albums. He always ahd the talent.

this is all very true but he still wasn't the greatest guitarist originally, he got better with time

Santana.
When we act, we create our own reality. And while you're studying that reality -- judiciously, as you will -- we'll act again, creating other new realities, which you can study too, and that's how things will sort out. We're history's actors . . . and you, all of you, will be left to just study what we do.
