John Legend - Once Again (new album)

alright so Save Room was a song that i first started hearing early in the summer and its amazing. i just finished listening to the full album and its great stuff. from the sounds of it, it doesnt seem like kanye had any production credits this time around (but i might be wrong). the album is definitely less hip hoppy than the first. its in a completely different direction than Get Lifted, as there are more guitar and old school ballad type songs, but i like it. i was a big fan of his first album and im definitely diggin this new shit...

i would post the album here but im not allowed (pm me if u want it). so instead here's Save Room for anyone who hasnt heard the song yet...

Save Room is a great song. It has that old school lounge crooner feel.

I like this album better than the last one. He lets his voice do the work instead of relying too much on a catchy melody or a Kanye beat.

That first album was overhyped garbage to me. I hope this is better, I think dude has talent.

I'm pretty sure a guy I know produced a remix to this that will be the official radio version...

We'll see.

Save Room? Unless your friend's name is Will.I.Am, I dont think so.

Kanye did a nice job on Heaven.

Yeah, I'm not really sure of the details... Ijust know that he sold a remix he did to Legend and they were gonna use it for some official version.

I hope I can scrap some extra cash to blow on CD's cause I want this in my collection stat. I loved the first album and I'm sure I'll be down for this too. Haven't heard any songs but from what I'm seeing the single has been out for a while and clearly I may be just sleeping and haven't realized it's been out.

Definitely copping.

I actually think this album is better than the first. Much more cohesive.

I dont like JL under the kanye influence.

I think my favorites are "Show Me", "Coming Home" and "Stereo". I love the album. It took me a minute to get used to his voice though, it reminds me of the change Jill Scott made for her 2nd album, sounds vulnerable, almost weak.

Peace!

haven't heard the new album yet, but i thought the first album was super cohesive. it's like it tells a story about a relationship from a rocky beginning to a solid end.

I've been listening to this album pretty regularly 'cuz I'm a pretty big fan of his, but I really wish they would let him make a more acoustic-sounding album. I still enjoy his live discs more than his studio albums because it just feels like it's more of him than Kanye and will.i.am and Sa-Ra and etc., etc. I want to see a John Legend album that he handled, front to back. I don't think this is it. Regardless, good stuff.
