What are people's thoughts on these guys? It seems like there is a gaping chasm sperating those who love them and their detractors. Altough their singer can be pretty monotonous, I am a fan.

Ashes of The Wake is pretty damn great. Sacrament is growing on me big time. They are fun as hell live too.

I think they suck.

With a different singer they'd be ok. To me, they're very similar to Trivium.

I really really tried to like these guys. Tried forcing my way through Ashes of the Wake, and I just don't get it. Nothing special about them at all.

Plus I saw them in concert on Unholy Alliance, and the lead singer is a humongous douche.

Just a really boring band, I don't see the appeal.

Yeah, would like to be as into these guys as some folks are, but i've never seen what there was to get excited about.

Just doesn't connect with me.

Same with Killswitch.

I figured most people would be on the negative side of the fence. I cant pin down why I like them as much as I do.

I'm gonna take it one step farther than Cas and say that with a different singer they'd be incredible. Because their music blows my mind at times. Then that douchebag opens his mouth and I have to turn it off

Also, the copy of Eyes Of Fire I DLed from you skips a bit. Does yours do that? Just randomly jump ahead in a few seconds in the song every now and then?

Sounds like you have the original web leak which had annoying skips every now and then.

The retail version is available on almost any torrent site and is skip free...

Already been said, but they're an excellent band with a shitty singer, save a few songs.

"Redneck" off of Sacrament, is a great fucking song though.

I don't personally like his voice, but what's the deal with the lead singer? Why does everyone seem to think he's such an asshole? Don't know much about him other than what he did to that kid on the Ozzfest reality show.
