Music in the Early Morning

Some people don't like to drink soda early in the morning. Is there any music you can't listen to early in the A.M.? Or can you listen to anything at any time of day?

Personally, I like very loud heavy metal in the morning. But if someone didn't want to listen to Mastodon at 5:15 AM I'd understand.

i have one of those ipod alarm clock things and i generally pick something that's upbeat and usually poppy. recent choices have been:

jamie lidell - multiply
beulah - gravity's bringing us down
the wrens - still complaining
wilco - a shot in the arm
they might be giants - they'll need a crane
talking heads - born under punches (the heat goes on)
superchunk - hello hawk
pretty much any elvis costello song
guided by voices - echos myron
jens lekman - i saw her in an anti-war demonstration
jon brion - meaningless

Slightly off topic, but I actually find really hard music very soothing, especially on headphones.

When I'm on a plane, I crank up some Slayer or Shadows Fall on the iPod and I'm asleep in minutes.
