I've been listening to old Bad Religion and Dead Kennedys lately. I dunno if you'd all call that punk or what, but that scene was pretty dope in its day. I mean pre-1985 Bad Religion, not the sappy thesaurus-rock that they churn out today.

^ No doubt. Used to love that Bad Religion 80-85 compilation.

Latch Key Kids
Bad Religion

Fuck Armageddon... this is Hell

So many good songs on there.

What the hell is thesaurus-rock though.

twice I've had this on my computer/ipod and twice something has happened to the effect of me losing it all except The Argument

if you got that Minor Threat discography as well... don't be bashful.

that would be pretty great of you.

you could also tell me which album to start with and which albums are their essentials.

they are just one of those bands i've always meant to check out and have never gotten around to.

GOOD MOTHERFUCKING UPLOAD cas

I have all this, but definitely good for anyone who's never heard McLusky
I'm still sad these guys broke up.
I had a chance to see them live and I passed it up.
dumbest choice regarding skipping a concert I've made thus far.

"I'm ACHING FROM FUCKING TOO MUCH!!"

not only do they write great songs, but they are hilarious.

You people have done this thread well, as I expected.

To clear it up, when I say punk, I am being broad because, to respond to reggie, you can easily place the Dead kennedys under the punk genre regardless of whatever post sub genre one would like to claim for it. I love the dk's, as well.

I feel like listening to well paid scientist now.

Legendary debut from SoCal punk rock legends.

Saw them live last year and they still rip harder than most bands half their age.
