i saw her in concert in october. very nice! high five. she's a very meek performer, tho. the crowd chatter was louder than the music, which was annoying.

people seriously pay money to go talk over a person on stage?
this happened at a ryan adam's concert, i wasn't even mad at him for getting annoyed and calling it a night early... people need to shut the fuck up at concerts unless they are singing along or are told to scream and shout... but chit-chatter is not appropriate.

i'd say there's more bjork or cat power influence in there than tori. i'm unfamiliar with most of tori's catalog but she seems much more sullen than regina, and musically less adventurous.

regina is appreciated for sure, i think soviet kitsch is my favorite but there are some high points on the new one.

i think her music has more of a 'new york swagger' than most singer songwriter females. plus, it has more of a schooled sound than a drug-induced sound.

I liked that one tune I've heard of hers "Us". I saw her live at a festival just wandered into a tent and heard her. She had the small crowd eating out of her hand.
