FUCK LISTING 2007

This is the thread where me, barknee and the others who feel this shit anticipate & document the year in UK underground/pirate/hardcore-congayuum music.

I added Funky House since people are predicting this will turn into something interesting soon.

That Burial remix is one too many maybe?

As cool as 'Untrue' is, this guy either needs to get some new ideas or quit.

people have been saying that for time though. i still sincerely doubt that anything's gonna get me listening to funky fucking house, no sir. there's actually a huge interview with geeneus and others about it on blackdownsoundboy.blogspot.com at the moment.

IMO niche is more of an answer to the "people aren't dancing at raves anymore" rather than a fucking funky house resurgence, ugh.

and CWM - sorry about not getting back to you about that distance track yet - short story is it's not released yet but it's on his next album. whenever it comes out. that clip on the rusko & caspa fabric cd is as close as you're going to get for the time being.

trim is all over radio at the moment and sounding awesome. constantly sending for flow dan as well. and roughneck roachee gets out of jail soon when i'm 'ere when i'm 'ere.

Oh ok. When's the album coming?

I read Benga's - Diary of an Afro Warrior is supposed to be floating around. Confirm/Deny, please.

^if it's leaked that's news to me. looking forward to hearing that album.

speaking of the man like benga, 'night' has been signed to a major by the same people that signed t2's heartbroken. they're doing a garage diva vocal version and i have no doubt it'll reach similar chart success. the other day i was humming it on the train up to manchester and the people sitting behind me started singing it along with me. jokes.

Not sure if it's leaked but there are definitely a few people that have copies already.

Can you upload that "garage diva vocal version"?

Probably :lastweek: but this remix of Daft Punk's "Touch it" is insane. Who's responsible for this? Need an mp3:

Never heard a song go from straight gay to straight banger like that.

i made my own edit of that song that takes the super gay, electric circus girl shit out and just has the build and the heavy shit

this song starts with a cheeseball garage synth line and ends up pretty awesome

http://thecurbcrawlers.com/audio/dec2007/Girl_Thing.mp3

niche/bassline is like a cross section of heavy fucking beats and extremely gay vocals and/or sonic choices

this tune is just totally nasty

Sometimes they get the shit right though, and it's all the good without the gay.

I'll upload cwm's requests when I get back to my laptop

Listen to the first track in this mix by DJ Slow (from Belgium?), it's a mix of Soulja Boy with Midnight Request Line. Jokes, Bruv.

grime/dubstep blogger/journo extraordinaire martin clark(aka blackdown) just got given a slot on rinse - thursdays 11-1, starting on the 31st. gonna be really worth listening to i reckon, say what you will about the man but he has very good taste (imo) and will no doubt play a lot of stuff that doesn't normally get played on rinse. just as long as he doesn't start banging on about hauntology or anything!

Cool - i'll try and peep that on Barefiles or something. You heard any of Blackdowns stuff? He'd made a few tracks with Trim and a guy I used to go to school with.

yeah i really rate that trim track - you know about the rinse podcast y@k? they upload all the main shows there nowadays. rinsefm.blogspot.com - as it goes they've actually banned barefiles etc from using any rinse material (a bit shady) so other than blogs/rwd forum (lol) that's the only way to get rinse stuff nowadays.

sheik, i'll put 'em up for you in a day or two... and you can :upload: your track with jammer in exchange...
