i do not understand why anyone would go to a festival. Except for something like that thing in texas, or the one they do in my town which takes place at various clubs around the city. Going to a big festival must be awful.

Going to a festival is really only worthwhile if you like at least half the acts playing enough that you would go see them on their own and the acts you like are spread throughout every level of the bill- a few morning openers with 20 minute sets, the handful from the afternoon sessions that are must-see for you, headliners you love, etc. Otherwise, it's a waste.

Consequently, I go to damn few festivals but have a kick ass time when I do.
